We're moving, again!

It was a sunny afternoon in January of 2025, when I left the house heading to the new dance studio that would be hosting our pop up classes. We were transitioning yet again, and anxiety crept up in me as I dreaded thinking about the implications of another move. Will anyone come this far? Let alone for a dance class? And if they do, will they come again? I made a pros and cons list trying to make sense of the nudge that led me there. Despite my worries, I liked the space. Yes, it would take me almost an hour to get there, yes I would have to lean on my community to keep the classes running, and yes it would be out of the way for a majority of the people, but something about it just felt right. So after multiple whispered prayers asking for God's wisdom and guidance and favor, I booked our first session for the following month. A little anxious, a little worried, a little stressed out... but I made the leap.

Fast forward to March 2026, after a year plus of successful pop up classes we are transitioning to a different space. Dancer friends, I am feeling all of the things all over again. I have no idea what's in store for us, I am afraid the commute will be a disadvantage, I am worried I'll have to start from scratch, and a part of me keeps checking that I'm still set on this decision, offering me a way out before it's too late. Of course I am feeling a little anxious, a little worried, and a little stressed out, but interestingly enough, there's a sense of peace underneath it all. A quiet reassurance that it'll all work out...despite despite despite. So here I am believing for God's wisdom and guidance and favor. Here I am making the leap once again.

Starting April 2026, our dance classes will be hosted at Marion Schools, Kahawa West. With this new space, I foresee new opportunities. I foresee multiple, regular, different leveled adult classes. I foresee kids and teens classes. I foresee a space that can birth dance dreams and see them come to life. I foresee a space that transforms into a home for dancers in the community. Welcome as we embark on this new season of our dance journey. I have a feeling it's just the beginning!

Keep creating & sharing!
