We made it to 6!!!

We are officially 6 years old today! 1,2,3,4,5,6...wow! I stay amazed at this milestone each year because, what?! How even? I remember the very beginnig of our journey when we did monthly anniversaries leading up to our 1st year. It was unbelievably exciting to think that we were actually doing the thing, that every tiny achievement was worth savoring. Now here we are 6 years in, and although I sometimes still find myself in disbelief about the reality of TKKDC, I'm so grateful for these anniversaries that serve as a wonderful reminder.

God placed a desire in me to pursue dance professionally when I was 16 years old. The dream at the end of this was to open a dance school that would reach dance enthusiasts like me, who wanted to pursue the art of dance regardless of their background, age, or experience. In a very unexpected and unconventional way, this dream was birthed during COVID in 2020, and we have been at it ever since. These past 6 years have come with challenges and blessings alike. Some seasons have come with a clear vision of our purpose and what's attainable, some have had me questioning how much longer we can keep going, while others have been a reminder of why we began in the first place. It's been quite the journey, and I'm grateful that we're still here, still creating, still sharing, and still dancing.

We didn't make it this far on our own. The Kena Kona Dance Center and our community of dancer friends have been covered in prayer consistently. God has truly kept us (and kept us well), and our journey is evidence of this. I'm continually grateful for you, too, dancer friends. Thank you for showing up for us time and time again, for supporting us in all the different ways, for your grace along the way, and for all the love. We made it to 6!!! 1,2,3,4,5,6!!! Ahhhh!! Happy Anniversary to us!
